Description
| Soma is a medication used to relieve discomfort caused by acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. The medication should only be used for periods typically lasting two to three weeks. The drug is generally ineffective during prolonged use and musculoskeletal conditions that the Soma treats are generally of short duration. This medication should be kept away from children, due to the potential side effects. |
Side Effects
Use of Soma may cause side effects or allergic reactions in some. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include hives, swelling of the face or throat, and difficulty breathing. Other side effects include paralysis, extreme weakness, light-headed feelings, increased heartbeat, loss of vision, and a lack of coordination.
Warnings
Soma should only be taken as prescribed. Taking medication in larger amounts than prescribed can result in side effects. Each dose should be taken with a full glass of water. In case of a missed dose, skip the dose if it is already near the prescribed time. If not, then it should be taken as soon as possible. In the event of an overdose, contact emergency services or the local poison control center.
